About Us

Dr. Garrett B. Lyons

We provide exceptional care with state of the art technology in concert with a motivated and professional staff. We anticipate the needs of our clients in keeping their mouths free of disease. We provide aesthetic rehabilitative procedures to correct functional problems. We approach life with a definitiveness of purpose that will allow for a balanced cross, striving for continual improvement in the pursuit of excellence.

Dentist

Dr. Garrett Lyons

Dr. Garrett Lyons, Jr. attended Georgetown University School of Dentistry where he was President of the 1985 graduating class and received the Pierre Fauchard Award for Leadership. He was previously President of the Delaware State Dental Society, and currently, Dr. Lyons, Jr. is a member of the ADA and a fellow at the American Society of Dental Aesthetics, Crown Council, and an accredited member of the AACD where he served on the Board of Directors from 1995 – 1999. He was the chairperson of the Public Relations Committee in 1994, and a member of the Board of Governors, as well as well as an accreditation examiner, for the AACD. He is on staff with Christiana Care Hospital and works with the residents in the GPR residency. Dr. Lyons, Jr. is married and has five children: Garrett, Meghan, Faith, Patrick, and Jane. His wife Patricia is a practicing attorney, who also participates in the management of their dental practice in Montchanin.

Dentist

Dr. Sarah Bond

Dr. Sarah Bond earned her DMD from the Kornberg School of Dentistry, serving as both
Student Body and Class President all four years. She received multiple scholarships
and published research on the oral microbiome and pediatric dentistry.
Experienced in endodontics, periodontal therapy, surgical extractions, and cosmetic
dentistry, Dr. Bond is committed to compassionate, patient-focused care. She has
volunteered on dental mission trips to Jamaica and Kentucky and remains active in
community outreach.

She lives in Wilmington, DE, with her fiancé, Dakin, and their dog, Gryffin, and will be
married this August.

Dental Hygienist

Yuliya Wirsztel

Yuliya Wirsztel is passionate about dental hygiene, combining her love for patient care with strong teaching skills and hands-on expertise. Dedicated to professional growth, she actively participates in continuing education, is a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association, and is preparing to begin a “Spanish for Healthcare Professionals” course this fall.

Outside the office, Yuliya enjoys swimming, running, and tennis, as well as spending time with her family, sharing dinners on the patio, and traveling whenever possible.

Ioanna Totokotsopoulos

Ioanna Totokotsopoulos graduated with honors from Delaware Technical and Community College with an Associate of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene. She received the Colgate STAR Award for her compassion in patient care, commitment to community service, and dedication to the profession. Passionate about building strong patient relationships, Ioanna strives to create a positive, comfortable, and professional dental experience. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, listening to Greek music, crocheting, knitting, hiking, practicing yoga, and cooking and baking.

Vinni Koru

With over 20 years of experience, Vinni Koru brings a gentle, compassionate approach to patient care as part of Dr. Lyons’ team. Outside the office, she enjoys traveling, experimenting with new recipes, and spending time with family and friends.

Denise

With over 20 years in the dental field, Denise earned her EFDA certification from Manor College. She is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and leave with a smile. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling with her boyfriend and son.

Alyssa

Alyssa has been a dental assistant since 2017 and holds both her CDA and RDA credentials. She takes pride in being part of Dr. Lyons’ dynamic team and enjoys working chairside to deliver exceptional patient care. Known for going the extra mile, Alyssa is dedicated to providing the highest standard of comfort and service.

Susan

Susan has been a valued member of Dr. Lyons’ team for 37 years. Outside the office, she enjoys ballet, touring historic homes, and spending time with her husband of 42 years. She also has a special fondness for a great crabcake sandwich.

Ryanne is passionate about dentistry and is thrilled to have found her professional home with Dr. Lyons and his team. Outside of work, she enjoys gardening, spending time at the beach, skiing, exploring new restaurants, and caring for her two dogs with her husband.

Coti

Coti has over six years of experience in the dental field and is passionate about helping patients feel comfortable and cared for. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her 8-year-old son, her two cats, visiting the beach, exploring new foods, thrifting, and shopping for plants.
